The Red House Art Gallery, celebrating its first successful year of operation in Dubuque’s Cable Car Square, is pleased to announce its Fall Exhibition, “Through the Years”, showcasing local artist Maureen Collins Dueland. This collection represents Maureen’s various artistic styles and creative interpretations, beginning with her first works in the 1980’s. “As you visit the charming brownstone setting of The Red House, admire the evolution of Maureen’s works, and enjoy previewing her latest pastels and charcoals that have been painted uniquely for this show,” quotes owner Susan Farber.
A native of Galena, Illinois and student of Francesco Licciardi, Maureen is renown in the Tri-State area for her award winning pastel and charcoal artwork. Her still life “sweet and savory” creations range from “Grandma’s Kitchen”, full of fruits, vegetables and pots, to “The Feast”, with decorative candle-lit tables to “Galena Pottery “ representing clever groupings of pottery and copper pans. Her fabulous portraits range from family gatherings to young twosomes to various children at play.
