Bastille Day - Group Exhibit // July - August 2006
Working in acrylics, watercolors, and collage, Odra is renowned for her expressive floral paintings,
landscapes and culturally-themed stories on canvas. Remarkable images with vivid colors and
textured compositions reflecting her worldly travels, Odra's works open your eyes to a world of artistic
fantasy and surrealism.
Prior to beginning her career as an art instructor, Odra worked as a fashion and retail illustrator. These
two experiences greatly influenced her while a young, emerging artist. She has traveled frequently to
Australia, Europe, Mexico and Southeast Asia, and Odra credits these voyages to her heightened
appreciation of and inspiration from various global artists and culturally-based art forms.
Odra graduated from Clarke College and also attended The Chicago Academy of Fine Arts. She has
shown her work throughout the Tri-State area. "Art has been an overwhelming presence and influence
in my life. I love and appreciate all forms and try to collect from various places. I truly feel that art
enhances people's lives and feelings."
