Bastille Day - Group Exhibit // July - August 2006
Known for her "Candy Art", RoseAnn's creations bring a smile to your face, and, of course, a desire to
taste your favorite soda fountain candy. A signature member of the Iowa Watercolor Society,
watercolor is RoseAnnŐs first love, however, she is also drawn to work with oils, acrylics, and mixed
media. She is also recognized for her dramatic flowers and creative mixed-media modern art.
A Registered Nurse by training, RoseAnn put aside this career in the medical field and returned to
college to pursue her passion for the arts. In 1999, she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Clarke
College, and has been teaching and painting on a full-time basis ever since. RoseAnn has shown her
works in numerous solo, juried and group exhibitions throughout the Tri-State Area, including the
Dubuque Museum of Art, Clarke College, and Iowa State University.
"Art truly is life giving for me. It is a wonderful journey and glorious way to discover beauty in this
world. Teaching is a marvelous way to share with others the joy I've learned through art. My family,
especially my husband, Wayne, is very supportive of my passion for the arts, and our grandchildren
provide me continuous inspiration and subject matter for my creations."
